Outdoor Porcelain Ceramic Drop-out Fuse Cutout for Electric Power Transformer

Experience superior protection with our Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout, expertly designed for outdoor high voltage applications. Connect seamlessly with the incoming feeder of your distribution transformer or lines, these devices offer unparalleled protection against short circuits and overloads, while efficiently managing the on/off load current. Constructed with insulating insulator supports and a robust fuse tube, the static contacts are securely fixed on two sides of the insulator support, with the moving contact strategically placed on both ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself boasts a cutting-edge arc-extinguishing design, comprised of an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an outer shell made from a phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. Our load switching fuse cutout takes protection a step further, featuring enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to effectively manage the on-off load current.
Under normal operational conditions, the fuse link keeps the fuse tube secured in a closed position. Upon detecting system faults, the fault current instantly causes the fuse to melt, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube. This reaction releases a high-pressure gas, effectively blowing out the arc within the tube. As the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tight grip, triggering the mechanism to lock and allow the fuse tube to drop out, putting the cutout in an open position. When switching off during cutout loading is required, operators can utilize an insulating operating bar to draw the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged. As the auxiliary contact is pulled apart, an electric arc forms between them, and its length is increased within the arc-extinguishing enclosure. Concurrently, the arc is blown off by the gas explosion at the current's zero crossing.
