Experience the robust engineering of our drop-out and load switching fuse cutouts, designed as essential outdoor high voltage protective devices. These units are expertly crafted to seamlessly integrate with the incoming feeders of distribution transformers or distribution lines, offering unparalleled protection against short circuits and overloads while efficiently managing on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout is elegantly constructed with insulating supports and a durable fuse tube; fixed static contacts on the insulator's sides work harmoniously with moving contacts on the fuse tube's ends. The inner arc-extinguishing tube, enhanced by an outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube, delivers superior performance. Our load switching fuse cutout is further advanced with reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring flawless on-off loading current switching.
In typical operation, the fuse link securely holds the fuse tube in a closed position. Upon system faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, creating an arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube. This reaction releases a significant volume of gas, producing high pressure, which effectively extinguishes the arc within the tube. After fuse link melting, the lack of tension causes the mechanism to unlock, allowing the fuse tube to drop out, thus adopting an open position. For switching off during load conditions, an operator should use an insulating operating bar to manipulate the moving contact. Initial stages maintain contact with the auxiliary static contact; as pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, generating an electric arc. The arc is strategically elongated within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, where gas explosions efficiently extinguish it as the current reaches zero.
