15kV Fuse Load Break Switch Cutout 100a Dropout

Our drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are premium outdoor high voltage protective devices. These units are ingeniously designed to connect seamlessly with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, providing impeccable protection against short circuits and overloads. Additionally, they facilitate easy on/off loading and current management. The thoughtfully engineered drop-out fuse cutout comprises insulator supports and a durable fuse tube, with static contacts firmly affixed on either side of the insulator support. The mobile contact is expertly installed at the ends of the fuse tube, which itself is crafted from a specialized arc-extinguishing inner tube, enveloped by an outer tube made from phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. The load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with robust elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring reliable switching of on-off loading currents.
In normal operations, the fuse link, securely tightened, holds the fuse tube firmly in a closed position. Upon encountering system faults, the resultant fault current swiftly melts the fuse, triggering an electric arc. This arc's heat causes the arc-extinguishing tube to release a copious amount of gas, generating high pressure that propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tightness, allowing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, thereby transitioning the cutout to an open position. When a cutout needs to be switched off during loading, operators can use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged, but as the pull continues, the auxiliary contacts part, creating an electric arc. The arc elongates within the gap of the arc-extinguishing enclosure and is ultimately extinguished by the gas explosion during zero current passage.
