11kv Polymeric Expulsion Fuse Cut Out Switch
Our drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are advanced outdoor high voltage protective devices. Perfectly designed to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they primarily safeguard these systems from short circuits, overloads, and manage on/off loading currents. Constructed with robust insulator supports and a durable fuse tube, static contacts are securely positioned on both sides of the insulator support, while the moving contact is adeptly installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself is crafted from an inner arc-extinguishing tube, encased in a tough phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. Moreover, the load switching fuse cutout is equipped with resilient auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, expertly handling on-off loading currents.
Under normal conditions, the fuse link, tightly fastened, maintains the fuse tube in a closed position. Should a fault occur, the fault current immediately melts the fuse, initiating an electric arc. This process heats the arc-extinguishing tube, causing it to release a significant amount of gas, producing high pressure that expels the arc along the tube. After the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, triggering the mechanism to release and allowing the fuse tube to drop out, thereby opening the cutout. When a switch-off is necessary during cutout loading, operators can utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain connected. As the operation continues, the auxiliary contact separates, generating an electric arc that extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing explosion gas efficiently extinguishes the arc as the current reaches zero.
