Electrical 27 kV 100A Porcelain Fuse Cutout: Precision Engineered for Optimal High-Voltage Performance
Our drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are premier outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Perfectly designed to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, these devices are paramount in safeguarding transformers or lines from potential short circuits and overloads, while managing on/off loading currents efficiently. Comprising robust insulated insulator supports and a durable fuse tube, the drop-out fuse cutout features static contacts firmly anchored on both sides of the insulator support, while the moving contact is seamlessly integrated at either end of the fuse tube. The fuse tube is meticulously crafted with an internal arc-extinguishing tube and is encased in a resilient outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to ensure smooth on-off loading current switching.
Under normal operating conditions, the fuse link secures the fuse tube into a closed position. In the event of a system fault, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, creating an electric arc that triggers the arc-extinguishing tube to generate substantial gas pressure, effectively expelling the arc along the tube. After the fuse melts, the moving contact loses its tension and the mechanism releases, allowing the fuse tube to drop out and the cutout to transition to an open position. For load switching, operators use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary contacts remain engaged. As the auxiliary contacts separate, an electric arc forms and elongates in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism generates gas that extinguishes the arc as the current reaches zero.
