High-Voltage 11kv Polymeric Expulsion Dropout Fuse Cutout Switch

Our Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout is an exceptional outdoor high-voltage protective device. Seamlessly integrated with the incoming feeders of distribution transformers or lines, it delivers outstanding protection against short circuits and overloads. The device efficiently manages on/off loading and current. Comprising of robust insulator supports and a highly durable fuse tube, its static contacts are firmly anchored on both sides of the insulator support, while the dynamic moving contact is strategically placed at both ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself is a marvel, crafted from an inner arc-extinguishing tube, and encased in an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube for enhanced resilience. The load switching fuse cutout boasts enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring seamless on-off loading current management.
In regular operations, the fuse link secures the fuse tube to maintain a closed position. When faults occur, the fault current causes the fuse to melt instantly, generating an electric arc. This heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing an abundance of gas that creates high pressure, propelling the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, allowing the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop out, shifting the cutout into an open position. For switching off during cutout loading, the operator uses an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but as pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, generating an electric arc. This arc elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure, and explosive gas is released to extinguish the arc as the current approaches zero.
