33kv Polymeric Expulsion Fuse Cut Out Switch

Our outdoor, high-voltage protective device, the drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout, are designed to seamlessly connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines. They act as guardians, protecting transformers and lines from short circuits and overloads, and managing on/off loading currents. Constructed with insulated support, fuse tubes, and strategic static contacts, these devices ensure top-notch safety. The fuse tube features an inside arc-extinguishing layer and an exterior of either phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. Our load-switching fuse cutout enhances functionality with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, optimizing current management.
During regular operation, the fuse link secures the fuse tube in a closed position. Upon a system fault, the fault current instantly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc. This occurrence heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing gases that create high pressure, propelling the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its grip, triggering a safety mechanism that results in the fuse tube dropping out, opening the cutout. For manual switching during loading, operators utilize an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, main and auxiliary contacts remain engaged, but separating the auxiliary contacts ignites an electric arc. This arc elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure, and gases are released to extinguish it as the current passes zero, ensuring a safe shutdown.
