Outdoor Porcelain Ceramic Drop-out Fuse Cutout for Electric Power Transformer

Our drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are robust outdoor high voltage protective devices. Designed to seamlessly integrate with incoming feeders of distribution transformers or lines, these devices safeguard transformers and lines from short circuits and overloads, also facilitating switching on and off of loading current. The drop-out fuse cutout comprises durable insulate insulator supports and a fuse tube. Static contacts are securely mounted on both sides of the insulator support, while the dynamic moving contact is efficiently installed at each end of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself features a sophisticated design with an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an outer layer made from phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. The load switching fuse cutout enhances protection with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an advanced arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring safe on-off loading current switching.
In normal operation, the fuse link securely holds the fuse tube in a closed position. Upon fault detection, the fault current immediately melts the fuse, creating an electric arc. The arc-extinguishing tube heats up, producing high-pressure gas that expels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, causing the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop out, indicating an open position. For switching off during cutout loading, operators use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain connected. As pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, forming an electric arc, which is lengthened in the arc-extinguishing enclosure. This process releases gas, effectively blowing off the arc as the current approaches zero.
