Power High Voltage Current Limiting Polymer Drop-out Fuse Cutout, Load Break Fuse 33kv-36kv

The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are essential high voltage protective devices crafted for outdoor use. These devices, meticulously engineered, connect seamlessly with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, providing unmatched protection against short circuits, overloads, and managing on/off current loads. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout is composed of insulating insulator supports and a robust fuse tube. Static contacts are securely fastened on either side of the insulator support, while moving contacts are precisely installed on the fuse tube's ends. The fuse tube, an engineering marvel, consists of an internal arc-extinguishing tube and an outer shell made of phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. The Load Switching Fuse Cutout further enhances functionality with additional elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to effectively manage current during load switching.
In normal operation, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains securely in the closed position. However, upon encountering system faults, the resulting fault current rapidly causes the fuse to melt, producing an electric arc. This triggers the arc-extinguishing tube to release a burst of gas, creating high pressure that propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tensile strength, causing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, placing the cutout in the open position. During load switching, operators use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged. As tension is applied, the auxiliary contacts separate, generating an electric arc. This arc is then elongated within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, where a gas explosion effectively extinguishes it as the current passes through zero.
