High-Voltage 11kv Polymeric Expulsion Dropout Fuse Cutout Switch

Our Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are exceptional outdoor high voltage protective devices. They are integral to safeguarding distribution transformers and distribution lines from short circuits and overloads, ensuring smooth on/off current loading. Each Drop-out Fuse Cutout features robust insulated insulator supports and a durable fuse tube. The static contacts are securely fixed on either side of the insulator support, while the moving contact is expertly installed on the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube boasts an advanced inside arc-extinguishing tube, encased within a high-quality outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. Our load switching fuse cutout is engineered with reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off loading current control.
In normal operation, the fuse link fastens the fuse tube in a secure closed position. If a system fault arises, the fault current instantly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc. This arc heats the arc-extinguishing tube, causing it to release an abundance of gas under high pressure, propelling the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, triggering the mechanism to release and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For switching off under load conditions, operators use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contacts and auxiliary static contacts remain connected. As the operator continues to pull, the auxiliary contacts separate, creating an electric arc. This arc is stretched within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, while the enclosure releases gases to extinguish the arc as the current approaches zero.
