Outdoor Porcelain Ceramic Drop-out Fuse Cutout for Electric Power Transformer

Introducing our sophisticated Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout, a high-performance, outdoor, high voltage protective device designed to be seamlessly integrated with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines. Its primary function is to safeguard transformers and power lines from potential short circuits or overloads while managing on/off loading currents with precision. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout is ingeniously crafted with insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube. Static contacts are firmly fixed on both sides of the insulator support, while dynamic, moving contacts are meticulously installed at each end of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself includes an innovative arc-extinguishing inner tube, and is encased with a durable outer layer of phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass, depending on the model. The load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an enclosed arc-extinguishing chamber, adeptly managing the on/off loading current transitions.
Under normal operating conditions, the fuse link securely fastens the fuse tube to maintain a closed position. When a system fault arises, the resulting fault current promptly melts the fuse, initiating an electrical arc. This triggers the arc-extinguishing tube to heat up, releasing a substantial volume of gas, thus generating high pressure that propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, causing the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For switching off during cutout loading, operators use an insulating operating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain connected, but as the auxiliary contact is pulled apart, an electric arc forms between them. The arc is then elongated within the arc-extinguishing chamber gap, and concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to extinguish the arc as the current reaches zero.
