Power High Voltage Current Limiting Polymer Drop out Fuse Cutout, Load Break Fuse 33kv-36kv

The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout serve as robust, outdoor high voltage protection devices designed for safeguarding the integrity of distribution transformers and lines. Engineered to connect seamlessly with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they offer essential protection against potential short circuits and overloads, alongside facilitating efficient on/off loading and current management. Each Drop-out Fuse Cutout features an intricate assembly of insulated insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts securely affixed to the insulator supports' perimeters and moving contacts positioned at both ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself is intricately constructed with an internal arc-extinguishing tube, encased in a durable phenolic compound paper tube or an epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, providing a reliable mechanism for switching on and off loading currents with precision and safety.
Under standard operational conditions, the securely tightened fuse link holds the fuse tube in a closed position. However, should a system fault arise, the resulting fault current causes the fuse to melt rapidly, thereby generating an electric arc. This arc prompts the arc-extinguishing tube to heat up and release a substantial amount of gas, creating high pressure and forcefully blowing the arc through the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, triggering the mechanism to lock and allowing the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For intentional disconnection during load operations, an operator can utilize an insulating operating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the operator continues to pull, the auxiliary contact separates, creating an electric arc. This arc is then extended across the gap within the arc-extinguishing enclosure, which simultaneously releases gas to extinguish the arc precisely at the current zero-crossing point.
