The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are premium outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Expertly crafted to integrate seamlessly with distribution transformers or power lines, they provide superior protection against short circuits and overloads, while ensuring efficient on/off load switching capabilities. The design features insulated supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts affixed to the insulators' sides and a movable contact at the tube's ends. Enhanced with an arc-extinguishing tube, the outer structure comprises durable phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tubing. Our advanced load switching fuse cutout includes stress-resistant auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for optimal current management.
In standard operation, a fuse link secures the fuse tube in a closed position. Should a fault occur, the excessive current melts the fuse, releasing an electric arc. This heats the arc-extinguishing tube, generating gas and high pressure that directs the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the tension releases, and the mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop and the cutout to open. For cutting off during load conditions, operators use an insulated bar to manipulate the moving contact: first engaging the main and auxiliary contacts, then, as separation occurs, an arc forms. This arc is elongated and extinguished by the arc-extinguishing enclosure, efficiently breaking the circuit as the current approaches zero.
