36kV High Voltage Porcelain Fuse Cutout Switch

Our drop-out fuse cutout and load-switching fuse cutout are advanced outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Seamlessly connecting with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, these devices serve as the first line of defense, protecting transformers and lines from potentially damaging short circuits and overloads, while also managing on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout features robust insulator supports and a meticulously engineered fuse tube. Static contacts are securely fixed on both sides of the insulator support, and a dynamic moving contact is installed at the ends of the fuse tube. This tube consists of an inner arc-extinguishing chamber and an exterior made from high-quality phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. The load-switching fuse cutout is enhanced with resilient auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to efficiently switch on and off the loading current.
Under normal operating conditions, the fuse link holds the fuse tube in a closed position. If a fault occurs, the fault current melts the fuse instantly, generating an electric arc, which heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a substantial amount of gas. This results in high pressure, driving the arc away along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the mechanism to release, causing the fuse tube to drop and the cutout to open. To switch off during load, an operator uses an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact, but as pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, forming an electric arc. This arc is lengthened within the arc-extinguishing gap, and the enclosure releases gas to extinguish the arc as the current reaches zero.
