36kV High Voltage Porcelain Fuse Cutout Switch

Our Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are designed as high-performance outdoor high voltage protective devices. These are essential for integration with incoming feeders of distribution transformers or lines, safeguarding them from short circuits, overloads, and managing current loads efficiently. The cutout features robust insulating supports and a durable fuse tube, with static contacts securely affixed on each side of the insulator support. The innovative design includes a moving contact installed on the fuse tube's ends. Inside, the fuse tube consists of an arc-extinguishing tube, enveloped by a phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout further incorporates reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring reliable switching and off-loading of current.
Under normal conditions, the fuse link tightens the fuse tube to maintain a closed position. Should a fault arise, the fault current causes the fuse to melt instantaneously, creating an electric arc. This results in the heating and gas explosion within the arc-extinguishing tube, producing high pressure and propelling the arc along the tube's interior. As the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, prompting the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop, placing the cutout in an open position. For operational switching during load conditions, the operator uses an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As pulling continues, the auxiliary contact disconnects, forming an electric arc, which is elongated in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, explosive gas from the arc-extinguishing process effectively blows out the arc as the current approaches zero.
