36kV High Voltage Porcelain Fuse Cutout Switch

Our drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are essential high voltage protective devices designed for outdoor use. Expertly engineered to connect to the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they primarily shield transformers or lines from the perils of short circuits and overloads, ensuring seamless on/off current loading. The drop-out fuse cutout is deftly crafted from insulating supports and a robust fuse tube. Static contacts are securely affixed to the insulator supports, while mobile contacts are skillfully installed at each end of the fuse tube. The innovative fuse tube design incorporates an inner arc-extinguishing tube, complemented by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. Our load switching fuse cutout is enhanced with reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an advanced arc-extinguishing enclosure, adeptly managing on-off loading currents.
During standard operation, the fuse link securely holds the fuse tube in a closed position. When the system encounters faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, triggering an electric arc. This arc heats the arc-extinguishing tube, generating a substantial release of gas and high pressure, driving the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, causing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop, transitioning the cutout to an open position. To switch off under load, operators use an insulating operating bar to maneuver the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. However, as pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, creating an electric arc. This arc extends across the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, while simultaneously, the enclosure generates gas to effectively extinguish the arc as the current reaches zero.
