Discover the power and reliability of our 24kV 100A/200A Distribution Dropout Fuse Cutout with an integrated Fuse Link, designed to provide superior protection and performance.
Our drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are premium outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Designed to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they serve a crucial role in shielding transformers or lines from short circuits and overloads. The design facilitates on/off loading capabilities and current management. The robust drop-out fuse cutout consists of insulated supports, a fuse tube, and static contacts on both sides of the support. The moving contact is strategically placed at the ends of the fuse tube, which is crafted from an inside arc-extinguishing tube enveloped in an outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. Our load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to efficiently manage on-off loading currents.
Under normal conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains securely in position. Should a system fault occur, the fault current causes the fuse to melt instantaneously, generating an electrical arc. This action heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a high-pressure gas flow, effectively extinguishing the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, causing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For switching off during cutout loading, operators can pull the moving contact using an insulating operating bar. Initially, both the main and auxiliary static contacts are engaged. As the auxiliary contact separates, an electric arc forms, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, whereupon the gas extinguishes the arc as the current reaches zero.
