11kv Polymeric Expulsion Fuse Cut Out Switch
Experience the pinnacle of outdoor high voltage protection with our drop-out fuse cutouts and load-switching fuse cutouts. Crafted for installation with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, these devices are masters at shielding transformers or lines from short circuits and overloads, as well as seamlessly managing on/off loading currents. Each drop-out fuse cutout is a sophisticated assembly of insulating supports and a meticulously constructed fuse tube. Static contacts are securely affixed to each side of the insulator support, while the dynamic moving contact resides at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself is an engineering marvel, featuring an inner arc-extinguishing tube encased in an outer shell made from either high-strength phenolic compound paper or robust epoxy glass. The load-switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with fortified elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure designed to ensure smooth on-off loading current management.
In standard operations, the fuse link tightly secures the fuse tube in a closed position. When faults arise, the resulting fault current promptly melts the fuse, triggering an electric arc that heats and releases a significant volume of gas from the arc-extinguishing tube. This process generates high pressure, swiftly extinguishing the arc and propelling it along with the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension and the mechanism unlocks, causing the fuse tube to disengage and assume an open position. For manual switch-off during cutout loading, operators employ an insulating operating bar to retract the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged. As the operator continues pulling, the auxiliary contacts separate, forming an electric arc between them. This arc elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, where explosive gases rapidly extinguish it as the current reaches zero.
