36kV High Voltage Porcelain Fuse Cutout Switch

Our Drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are premier outdoor high voltage protective devices. Expertly designed for integration with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they serve a critical role in safeguarding transformers and lines against short circuits and overloads, while enabling seamless current on/off loading. The drop-out fuse cutout consists of durable insulator supports and a robust fuse tube. Static contacts are securely fixed on both sides of the insulator support, while the moving contact is carefully installed at each end of the fuse tube. This tube features an internal arc-extinguishing tube, complemented by an outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. In addition, the load switching fuse cutout is enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring reliable switching of on-off loading current.
Under normal operating conditions, the fuse link, when tightened, secures the fuse tube in a closed position. In the event of a system fault, the resulting fault current rapidly melts the fuse, leading to the immediate release of an electric arc, which in turn heats and causes the arc-extinguishing tube to expel a significant volume of gas. This process generates high pressure and blows the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, causing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, placing the cutout in an open position. During cutout loading, if switch-off is required, operators can use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains in contact with the auxiliary static contact. As the pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, creating an electric arc which is then elongated in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, arc-extinguishing gas explodes to extinguish the arc as the current reaches zero.
