33kv Polymeric Expulsion Fuse Cut Out Switch

The Drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are essential high-voltage protective devices crafted for outdoor use. Engineered to connect seamlessly with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, their primary function is to shield transformers or lines from the menaces of short circuits and overloads, while also managing on/off loading and current fluctuations. The drop-out fuse cutout features a robust design, consisting of insulated insulator supports and a fuse tube. Static contacts are securely affixed on either side of the insulator support, while a moving contact is precisely installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube is ingeniously constructed with an internal arc-extinguishing tube, enveloped by a durable outer layer made from phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout boasts enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure designed for efficient switching of on-off loading current.
Under normal operational conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains steadfastly fixed, maintaining a closed position. However, when system faults arise, the ensuing fault current swiftly melts the fuse, triggering an electric arc. This phenomenon heats the arc-extinguishing tube, causing the release of voluminous gas, thereby generating high pressure that propels through the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, leading the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, positioning the cutout in an open state. When an operator needs to disengage the cutout during loading, they employ an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged. As the operation progresses, the auxiliary contacts separate, sparking an electric arc, which elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, arc-extinguishing gases are explosively released, effectively extinguishing the arc as the current approaches zero.
