33kv Polymeric Expulsion Fuse Cut Out Switch

Experience robust safety and seamless protection with our Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout. These outdoor high-voltage protective devices are meticulously designed to connect seamlessly with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines. Their primary role is to safeguard transformers or lines against short circuits and overloads, ensuring consistent operation by effectively managing on/off loading currents. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout comprises insulating insulator supports and a high-performance fuse tube. Its static contacts are securely fixed on two sides of the insulator support, while the moving contact is precisely installed on both ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube is crafted with an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an exterior made of phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. For superior load switching, the fuse cutout is equipped with enhanced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure that expertly manages on-off loading currents.
Under normal working conditions, the fuse link secures tightly, fixing the fuse tube in a closed position. Upon any system fault, the fault current instantly causes the fuse to melt, creating an electric arc. This action heats the arc-extinguishing tube, generating a substantial amount of gas and pressure, which aids in expelling the arc through the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, unlocking the mechanism and allowing the fuse tube to drop out, thereby setting the cutout into an open position. For switching off during cutout loading, the operator must use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain connected, but as pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, creating an electric arc. This arc extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, with exploding gas playing a vital role in extinguishing the arc as the current approaches zero.
