36kV High Voltage Porcelain Fuse Cutout Switch

Our drop-out and load-switching fuse cutouts are essential outdoor high voltage protective devices. Crafted for seamless integration with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they offer critical protection against short circuits and overloads while managing on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout comprises insulating supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts secured on the insulator supports and moving contacts at the fuse tube's ends. The fuse tube features an inner arc-extinguishing tube, encased in durable phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. Meanwhile, the load-switching fuse cutout is equipped with reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure that ensures smooth current switching.
During normal operation, the fuse link keeps the fuse tube securely in a closed position. In the event of a fault, the resulting fault current causes the fuse to melt, forming an electric arc. The arc-extinguishing tube heats up and releases gas, creating a high-pressure blow that clears the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, allowing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, signaling an open position. For switching off during load conditions, an operator uses an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts stay in contact, but as they separate, an arc forms. This arc extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure and is eventually blown out when the current crosses zero.
