36kV High Voltage Porcelain Fuse Cutout Switch

Our advanced Drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are designed for outdoor applications as high voltage protective devices. These are seamlessly connected with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, serving as vigilant guardians against short circuits and overloads, while proficiently managing on/off loading and current flow. The Drop-out fuse cutout consists of robust insulate insulator supports and a precision-engineered fuse tube. Static contacts are securely mounted on both sides of the insulator support, while the moving contact is strategically positioned at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube is ingeniously crafted with an internal arc-extinguishing tube, wrapped with an exterior of phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. For enhanced reliability, the load switching fuse cutout is equipped with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and a specialized arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring smooth switching of on-off loading currents.
In typical operations, the fuse link, when tightly secured, keeps the fuse tube in a closed position. However, should a fault arise within the system, the fault current swiftly causes the fuse to melt, generating an electric arc. This arc heats the arc-extinguishing tube, resulting in the rapid expulsion of gas, creating high pressure within the tube. Following the melting of the fuse link, the moving contact loses its tightened hold, and the mechanism locks, causing the fuse tube to disengage, marking the cutout as open. For switching off during cutout loading, operators use an insulating operating bar to gently disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain connected. As the disengagement progresses, the auxiliary contact separates, initiating an electric arc. The arc is then elongated within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, with the expulsion of gas assisting in extinguishing the arc as the current passes through zero.
