36kV High Voltage Porcelain Fuse Cutout Switch

Our drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are robust, high-voltage protective devices designed for outdoor use. These essential components connect to the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, offering premier protection against short circuits, overloads, and enabling on/off loading current. The drop-out fuse cutout consists of insulating insulator supports, a fuse tube, and static contacts secured on both sides of the insulator support, with a moving contact at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube, crafted from an interior arc-extinguishing tube encased in a phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube, ensures optimal performance. Our load switching fuse cutout features reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to efficiently manage on-off loading currents.
Under normal operating conditions, the fuse link secures the fuse tube in a closed position. Should a system fault occur, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, producing an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a burst of gas under high pressure, dispelling the arc from the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, causing the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop out, switching to an open position. For switch-off during cutout loading, operators use an insulating operating bar to maneuver the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged. As the auxiliary contact separates, an electric arc forms, extending through the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, which then generates gas to extinguish the arc efficiently at zero current passage.
