36kV High Voltage Porcelain Fuse Cutout Switch

The drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are essential outdoor high-voltage protective devices designed to connect seamlessly with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines. These fuse cutouts primarily safeguard transformers and lines from short circuits and overload conditions, while also facilitating the on/off operation of loading current. Each drop-out fuse cutout consists of a robust insulator support and a specialized fuse tube. The static contacts are securely fixed on both sides of the insulator support, while the moving contact is meticulously installed at both ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube is ingeniously constructed with an inner arc-extinguishing tube, surrounded by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or an epoxy glass tube. Our load switching fuse cutout is enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, expertly crafted for efficient switching and offloading of current.
Under normal conditions, the fuse link is securely tightened, fixing the fuse tube to maintain a closed position. When a fault occurs, the resulting fault current promptly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc. This triggers the arc-extinguishing tube to heat up and release a large amount of gas, creating high pressure and blowing the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, it loses its tightness, causing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For switching off during loading, operators can utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged. As pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, forming an electric arc. This arc extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, where it is lengthened and extinguished by the explosive gas released at the current's zero crossing.
