Power High Voltage Current Limiting Polymer Drop-Out Fuse Cutout, Load Break Fuse 33kv-36kv

The drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are essential high voltage protective devices designed for outdoor use. These robust devices are integral to safeguarding distribution transformers and lines against short circuits, overloads, and manage on/off loading currents. Constructed with insulate insulator supports and a sophisticated fuse tube, the static contacts are securely fixed on either side of the insulator support, while the moving contact is precisely installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself is crafted from an inner arc-extinguishing tube, enveloped by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. To further enhance reliability, the load switching fuse cutout is equipped with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring efficient switching of the loading current.
Under normal conditions, the fuse link, when tightened, secures the fuse tube in a closed position. However, in the event of a system fault, the fault current immediately melts the fuse, initiating an electric arc. This causes the arc-extinguishing tube to heat and emit a significant volume of gas, creating high pressure that propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link has melted, the moving contact loses its tension, causing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For operational switching during cutout loading, an operator can use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged. As the auxiliary contact is pulled, an electric arc forms and elongates in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing gas detonates to effectively extinguish the arc as the current approaches zero.
