11kv Polymeric Expulsion Fuse Cut Out Switch
Our Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are meticulously engineered for outdoor high voltage protection. They seamlessly connect with incoming feeders of distribution transformers or lines, offering paramount protection against short circuits, overloads, and facilitating on/off loading operations. The drop-out fuse cutout consists of a robust insulator support and a sophisticated fuse tube, with static contacts fixed on both sides of the support. The moving contact is strategically installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube is a marvel of engineering, featuring an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an exterior crafted from either phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. The load switching fuse cutout is enhanced with elastic auxiliary contacts and an advanced arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring optimal operation during on-off loading.
In standard operation, the fuse link secures the fuse tube in a closed position. Upon encountering a fault, the resultant fault current swiftly melts the fuse, triggering an electric arc. This heats the arc-extinguishing tube, generating a high-pressure gas that effectively blows the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tensile strength, causing the mechanism to release and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For manual operation during load switching, the operator uses an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but as the auxiliary contact separates, an electric arc forms. This arc is elongated within the arc-extinguishing enclosure, where it is efficiently extinguished by the gas discharge during the current's zero phase.
