Outdoor Porcelain Ceramic Drop-out Fuse Cutout for Electric Power Transformer

Our advanced Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are essential high-voltage protective devices designed for outdoor use. These components connect seamlessly with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or power lines, ensuring robust protection against short circuits and overloads. They proficiently manage on/off loading current. Each Drop-out Fuse Cutout consists of insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube. The static contacts are secured on both sides of the insulator support, and the moving contact is expertly installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The innovative design includes an internal arc-extinguishing tube and an outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. Our Load Switching Fuse Cutout features enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure that adeptly switches on/off loading current.
In regular operations, the fuse link keeps the fuse tube firmly in the closed position. Should a system fault occur, the fault current instantly melts the fuse, creating an electric arc. This heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing significant gas pressure that displaces the arc along the tube. As the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, causing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For switching off during cutout loading, operators should use an insulated operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged; however, as the auxiliary contact separates, an electric arc forms. This arc is lengthened within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, and concurrent gas explosions extinguish the arc as the current cycles through zero.
