36kV High Voltage Porcelain Fuse Cutout Switch

Our drop-out and load switching fuse cutouts are robust outdoor high voltage protective devices, indispensable for safeguarding transformers and distribution lines from short circuits and overloads. These devices can efficiently manage on-off loading and current flow. The drop-out fuse cutout features a sturdy insulator support and a durable fuse tube, with static contacts on the insulator's sides and a moving contact at the tube's ends. The fuse tube comprises an internal arc-extinguishing component and a resilient outer layer made from phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. The load switching fuse cutout includes reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an advanced arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring seamless operation during load switching.
Under normal conditions, the fuse link secures the fuse tube in a closed position. However, when a fault occurs, the fault current causes the fuse to melt, generating an electric arc. This action heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing gas and creating high pressure, resulting in the expulsion of the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, the mechanism locks, and the fuse tube drops, opening the cutout. For switching operations during load, operators use an insulating bar to engage the moving contact, initially maintaining contact with the auxiliary static contacts. As pulling continues, the auxiliary contacts separate, forming an electric arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure, with the released gas effectively extinguishing the arc as current approaches zero.
