Power High Voltage Current Limiting Polymer Drop-out Fuse Cutout, Load Break Fuse 33kv-36kv

The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout serve as essential outdoor high voltage protective devices. These are seamlessly integrated with incoming feeders of distribution transformers or lines, offering robust protection against short circuits, overloads, and the seamless management of on/off loading currents. The Drop-out Fuse is ingeniously crafted from insulated supports and a fuse tube. Static contacts are anchored on both sides of the support, while the moving contact is skillfully positioned at the ends of the fuse tube. The tube itself boasts an inner arc-extinguishing layer and may be enveloped in a phenolic compound paper tube or an epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with elastic auxiliary contacts and an enclosure designed specifically for arc extinguishing, ensuring efficient on-off loading current switching.
Under normal operating conditions, the fuse link secures the fuse tube in a closed position. Should a system fault arise, the resulting fault current causes the fuse to melt promptly, generating an electric arc. This arc heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a significant amount of gas that builds pressure within the tube. Consequently, once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, disengaging the mechanism and causing the fuse tube to drop out, indicating an open position. For switching off during a load cutout, an operator uses an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain connected. However, as pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, creating an electric arc. This arc is lengthened across the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, and the gas burst effectively extinguishes the arc as the current crosses zero.
