33kv Polymeric Expulsion Fuse Cut Out Switch

The drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are essential high voltage outdoor protective devices. These devices are designed to connect seamlessly with incoming feeders of distribution transformers or distribution lines, offering unparalleled protection against short circuits and overloads. In addition to their protective function, they also facilitate the on/off loading of current. The drop-out fuse cutout is meticulously crafted with insulating insulator supports and a robust fuse tube. Static contacts are securely mounted on both sides of the insulator support, while the moving contact is strategically placed at both ends of the fuse tube. The innovative fuse tube consists of an advanced inside arc-extinguishing tube, housed within an outer phenolic compound paper tube or an epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to adeptly manage on-off loading current.
In normal operation, the fuse link is precisely tightened, securing the fuse tube into a steadfast closed position. When system faults arise, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, initiating the arc-extinguishing process. This reaction generates a significant amount of gas, creating high pressure that propels the arc within the tube. Following the fuse link melting, the moving contact loses its tension, allowing the mechanism to release the fuse tube, effectively transitioning the cutout to an open state. During load switching operations, operators can utilize an insulating operating bar to deftly maneuver the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As pulling continues, these contacts separate, generating an electric arc. This arc elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure, while the enclosure explosively releases gas to efficiently extinguish the arc as the current approaches zero.
