Our Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are cutting-edge outdoor high voltage protective devices, expertly designed for your distribution transformer or line needs. Seamlessly integrated with the incoming feeder, these devices safeguard your systems from short circuits, overloads, and manage on/off loading currents with ease. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout boasts insulated support structures and a robust fuse tube. Static contacts firmly anchor on the insulator, while the dynamic moving contact is secured at the tube's ends. Featuring an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an exterior of high-grade phenolic paper or epoxy glass, these tools are crafted for durability. The load switching fuse cutout enriches functionality with resilient auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to handle load currents efficiently.
During normal operations, the fuse link tightly secures the fuse tube, maintaining a closed position. In the event of system faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, igniting an electric arc. This causes the arc-extinguishing tube to heat up and emit a gas explosion, creating high pressure to extinguish the arc. Post-meltdown, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop, shifting the cutout to an open position. For off-loading actions, operators use an insulating bar to detach the moving contact. Initially, main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged. As contact is gradually pulled, an electric arc forms between auxiliary contacts, which is skillfully elongated and extinguished within the arc-extinguishing gap, neutralizing the arc as current nears zero.
