Introducing our Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout, the ultimate outdoor high voltage protective solution. Engineered to be seamlessly integrated with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, this protective device is designed to shield transformers and lines from short circuits and overloads, while efficiently managing on/off load current. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout is meticulously crafted with insulated insulator supports and a robust fuse tube. The static contacts are securely fixed on both sides of the insulator support, while the moving contact is precisely installed on either end of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself features an inner arc-extinguishing tube, encased in a durable phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. Our Load Switching Fuse Cutout is enhanced with reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring seamless on-off load current switching.
Under normal operational conditions, the fuse link, when tightened, securely holds the fuse tube to form a closed circuit. When a fault occurs in the system, the fault current causes the fuse to melt instantly, igniting an electric arc. This process heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a substantial amount of gas. Consequently, this generates high pressure and directs the arc along the tube. Post-melting of the fuse link, the moving contact loses its tension, triggering the mechanism to engage and allowing the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For switching off during load cutout, operators can utilize an insulating operating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain in touch. Upon pulling, the auxiliary contact separates, producing an electric arc. This arc extends across the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, with arc-extinguishing gas efficiently blowing off the arc as the current approaches zero.
