Introducing our Electrical 27 kV 100A Porcelain Fuse Cutout, a pinnacle of engineering designed to provide unmatched performance and resilience.
The drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout serve as indispensable outdoor high voltage protective devices. Seamlessly connecting to the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they act as vigilant guardians, safeguarding transformers and lines from the perils of short circuits and overloads while enabling seamless on/off current loading. The drop-out fuse cutout is crafted from robust insulator supports and a durable fuse tube. Fixed static contacts bookend the insulator support, and a moving contact is precisely positioned at each end of the fuse tube. This tube is ingeniously constructed with an inner arc-extinguishing layer and an outer layer of phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass, delivering superior performance. The load switching fuse cutout further enhances safety with its robust elastic auxiliary contacts and arc-extinguishing enclosure, expertly managing on-off loading current with precision and reliability.
Under normal conditions, the fuse link, securely fastened, keeps the fuse tube in a closed position. In the event of a system fault, the fault current promptly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc. This phenomenon heats the arc-extinguishing tube, causing it to release a high-pressure gas that propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout into an open position. For switching during cutout loading, operators use an insulating operating bar to gently pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged. As the pull continues, the auxiliary contact detaches, creating an electric arc. This arc extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, where it is effectively blown out by the explosion gas when the current reaches zero, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
