33kV 100A High Voltage Fuse Cutout Switch

Our Drop-out and Load Switching Fuse Cutouts are robust, outdoor high-voltage protective devices designed to safeguard transformers and distribution lines. These fuse cutouts are integral, connecting seamlessly with the incoming feeders of distribution transformers. Primarily, they serve to protect against short circuit and overload scenarios, effectively managing on/off loading and current fluctuations. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout is ingeniously designed with insulated insulator supports and a reliable fuse tube. Static contacts are affixed on either side of the insulator support, while the moving contact is strategically installed at the ends of the fuse tube. This tube is fashioned from an inner arc-extinguishing tube, encased within a durable outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for precise on-off load management.
During normal operation, the fuse link, when tightened, secures the fuse tube into a closed position. Should a system fault occur, the fault current causes the fuse to melt instantly, igniting an electric arc. This arc heats the arc-extinguishing tube, generating an explosive gas that creates high pressure, propelling the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, activating a mechanism that releases the fuse tube, which then drops out, setting the cutout to an open position. For manual disconnection during load switching, operators use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact maintain connection. As the operator continues to pull, the auxiliary contact separates, inducing an electric arc. This arc extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, and simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing gas explodes, extinguishing the arc efficiently as the current approaches zero.
