11kv-15kv Porcelain Expulsion Drop-out Fuse Cutout

Our drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are engineered as outdoor high-voltage protective devices, seamlessly integrating with the incoming feeders of distribution transformers or lines. These devices primarily safeguard transformers and lines against short circuits, overloads, and manage on/off load currents. The drop-out fuse cutout features durable insulating support, a robust fuse tube, and static contacts securely mounted on both sides of the support. The moving contact, precision-fitted on the fuse tube ends, operates within an arc-extinguishing tube enclosed by either phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. For enhanced performance, our load switching fuse cutout incorporates reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an efficient arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring dependable on/off load current switching.
Under usual operations, the fuse link, when fastened, maintains the fuse tube in a secure closed position. In the event of a system fault, the resulting fault current causes the fuse to melt instantly, triggering an electric arc. This phenomenon heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a surge of gas and creating high pressure along the tube, facilitating the arc's dissipation. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its securing strength, causing the mechanism to engage and the fuse tube to drop out, switching the cutout to an open state. For load disconnection, operators can use an insulating bar to gently pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain connected. As the auxiliary contact is separated, an electric arc is formed and extended within the arc-extinguishing enclosure, where the generated gas effectively quenches it as the current reaches zero.
