Electrical 27 kV 100A Porcelain Fuse Cutout
Our Drop-out Fuse Cutouts and Load Switching Fuse Cutouts are state-of-the-art high voltage protective devices, perfectly suited for outdoor use. Seamlessly connecting with incoming feeders of distribution transformers or distribution lines, these ingenious devices are designed to offer robust protection against short circuits, overloads, and manage on/off loading currents efficiently. The drop-out fuse cutout is comprised of insulating insulator supports paired with a fuse tube, static contacts are expertly secured on both ends of the insulator support, while the moving contact is elegantly positioned at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself boasts a sophisticated inner arc-extinguishing tube, enveloped in an outer casing of either phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. Our load switching fuse cutouts are enhanced with elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to ensure flawless on-off loading current management.
Under normal working conditions, the fuse link, when tightened, secures the fuse tube to maintain a closed position. Should a fault arise within the system, the resultant fault current will cause the fuse to melt instantaneously, generating an electric arc. This arc heats the arc-extinguishing tube, inducing an explosive release of gas that creates high pressure, forcing the arc to travel along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, causing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop, shifting the cutout to an open position. For switching off during cutout loading, an operator can use an insulating operating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain connected, but as the pull continues, the auxiliary contact disengages, creating an electric arc. This arc elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure, where the gas explosion effectively extinguishes the arc as the current approaches zero.
