33kv Polymeric Expulsion Fuse Cut Out Switch

Our drop-out fuse cutout, alongside the load switching fuse cutout, represents an essential outdoor high-voltage protective device. Ideally designed for connection with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, this device acts as a guardian, shielding transformers and lines from damaging short circuits and overloads, while also facilitating on/off load currents seamlessly. The drop-out fuse cutout comprises resilient insulator supports and a robust fuse tube. Static contacts are securely fixed on both sides of the insulator support, while the moving contact is ingeniously installed at each end of the fuse tube. The inner workings of the fuse tube include an advanced arc-extinguishing tube, complemented by an exterior crafted from premium phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. The load switching fuse cutout boasts enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for effective switching of loading currents.
Under normal operating conditions, the fuse link is meticulously tightened, holding the fuse tube in a steadfast closed position. However, should a fault occur, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, igniting an arc which heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing copious gases that create high pressure to blow the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, the mechanism disengages, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. When switching off during loading is required, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to manipulate the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary contacts maintain connection; upon pulling, the auxiliary contacts separate, forming an electric arc. This arc elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure, where it is explosively extinguished as the current dips to zero.
