36kV Expulsion Load Break Fuse Cutout

Our state-of-the-art Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are sophisticated outdoor high voltage protective devices. Seamlessly integrating with incoming feeders of distribution transformers or distribution lines, their primary role is to shield transformers and lines from potential short circuits and overloads while managing on/off load currents with precision. The drop-out fuse cutout is ingeniously designed, featuring insulating insulator supports and a robust fuse tube. Static contacts are securely anchored on either side of the insulator support, while the moving contact is strategically positioned at both ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself is a marvel of engineering, consisting of an internal arc-extinguishing tube nestled within an outer tube made of phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. For enhanced performance, the load switching fuse cutout is equipped with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an advanced arc-extinguishing enclosure to efficiently manage on-off load currents.
In normal operations, when the fuse link is securely tightened, the fuse tube remains in a closed position. However, should a system fault arise, the resulting fault current causes the fuse to melt instantly, creating an electric arc. This triggers the arc-extinguishing tube to heat up, releasing a high-pressure gas that effectively quenches the arc within the tube. As the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, allowing the mechanism to unlock, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For switching off during load cutout, an operator uses an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact, but as pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates. This separation creates an electric arc, which is extended through the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Meanwhile, gas is explosively released to extinguish the arc as the current crosses zero, ensuring safety and efficiency.
