11kv Expulsion Fuse C/W Holder

Drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are advanced outdoor high-voltage protective devices, designed to seamlessly integrate with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or electrical lines. Their primary function is to safeguard transformers or lines from short circuits and overloads, while facilitating efficient on/off current loading. The drop-out fuse cutout is ingeniously designed with insulative supports and a robust fuse tube; its static contacts are securely affixed on either side of the insulator support, with a moving contact elegantly positioned at the ends of the fuse tube. This sophisticated fuse tube comprises an internal arc-extinguishing component, encased in a durable outer phenolic paper or epoxy glass tube. The load-switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with augmented elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for seamless on-off current switching.
During normal operation, the fuse link securely fastens the fuse tube in a closed position. However, should a system fault arise, the fault current will swiftly melt the fuse, generating an electric arc. This causes the arc-extinguishing tube to heat and expel significant gas, creating a high-pressure zone that blows the arc down the tube. Post-fuse link melting, the moving contact loses its tension, triggering a locking mechanism, and the fuse tube drops, resulting in an open position. For intentional load switching, operators must use an insulating operating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged; as pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, forming an electric arc between the contacts. This arc elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure, which concurrently releases gas to extinguish the arc as the current approaches zero.
