36kV Expulsion Load Break Fuse Cutout

The drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are high-performance outdoor high voltage protective devices. Engineered to seamlessly connect with the incoming feeders of distribution transformers or distribution lines, these devices excel in safeguarding transformers and lines against short circuits and overloads while managing on/off loading operations. The drop-out fuse cutout features robust insulate insulator supports paired with a versatile fuse tube. Static contacts are securely anchored to both sides of the insulator support, while the dynamic moving contact is positioned at each end of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself, expertly crafted, includes an interior arc-extinguishing tube encased in either a durable outer phenolic compound paper tube or a resilient epoxy glass tube. For enhanced functionality, the load switching fuse cutout is equipped with reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an advanced arc-extinguishing enclosure, facilitating efficient switching of on-off loading currents.
Under normal operating conditions, the fuse link is securely tightened, holding the fuse tube in a stable closed position. Should a fault occur within the system, the resultant fault current causes the fuse to melt instantly, creating an electrical arc. This process heats the arc-extinguishing tube, generating an explosion of gas, which produces high pressure below the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tightened strength, triggering the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. When it's necessary to switch off during cutout loading, the operator can achieve this by using an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged. As the pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, generating an electric arc between the auxiliary contacts. This arc is then elongated within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas to effectively extinguish the arc as the current approaches zero, ensuring seamless operation.
