11kv Dropout Fuse Cutout DOFC Switch for Electric Transformer
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are top-tier, state-of-the-art outdoor high voltage protective devices. Designed to seamlessly connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they primarily safeguard transformers or lines against short circuits and overloads, while effectively managing on/off loading currents. Each Drop-out Fuse Cutout is meticulously crafted with insulating insulator supports and a precision-engineered fuse tube. Static contacts are securely positioned on both sides of the insulator support, with the moving contact adeptly installed at the ends of the fuse tube. This system features a fuse tube crafted from an inner arc-extinguishing tube, encased in an outer layer of phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load-switching fuse cutout boasts enhanced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure that ensures efficient on-off loading current handling.
Under normal operational conditions, with the fuse link securely tightened, the fuse tube is locked in a closed position. Upon system faults, the fault current instantaneously melts the fuse, initiating an electric arc. This triggers the arc-extinguishing tube to heat up and release an abundance of gas, generating high pressure that aids in extinguishing the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, causing the mechanism to disengage and the fuse tube to drop out, thus setting the cutout into an open position. For cutout loading switch-off, the operator utilizes an insulating operating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but upon further pulling, the auxiliary contact is severed, generating an electric arc. This arc elongates in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, while simultaneous gas bursts extinguish the arc as the current reaches zero.
