Introducing the 36kV Expulsion Load Break Fuse Cutout: a pinnacle of safety and efficiency.

The drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout stand as quintessential outdoor high voltage protective devices. Engineered to seamlessly integrate with incoming feeders of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they play a crucial role in safeguarding transformers or lines from the perils of short circuits and overloads, while efficiently managing on/off loading current. The drop-out fuse cutout boasts a robust construction of insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube. The static contacts are anchored on either side of the insulator support, while the moving contact is affixed to the ends of the fuse tube. This fuse tube features an internal arc-extinguishing tube, complemented by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or an epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, adept at switching on-off loading current with precision.
Under normal conditions, the fuse link secures the fuse tube in a steadfast closed position. However, when system faults occur, the fault current causes the fuse to melt, initiating an electrical arc. This phenomenon causes the arc-extinguishing tube to heat rapidly, releasing a profusion of gas, creating high pressure that propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, triggering the mechanism to lock and allowing the fuse tube to drop out, thereby switching the cutout to an open position. For operational switching off during cutout loading, an operator must employ an insulating operating bar to maneuver the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain connected. As pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, generating an electric arc between them. This arc elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, and concurrently, the arc-extinguishing gas is expelled to extinguish the arc as the current approaches zero.
