36kV Expulsion Load Break Fuse Cutout

The drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are outstanding outdoor high voltage protective devices. Engineered to seamlessly integrate with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they play a pivotal role in safeguarding transformers and lines from hazardous short circuits and overloads while managing on/off loading and current flow. The drop-out fuse cutout is meticulously designed with insulated insulator supports and a robust fuse tube, with static contacts securely fixed on both sides of the insulator support and a moving contact elegantly installed at each end of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself is crafted from an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an exterior made of phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. Notably, the load switching fuse cutout features enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to effectively switch on-off loading current.
Under normal operational conditions, the fuse link is securely tightened, fixing the fuse tube in a closed position. Should the system experience faults, the resultant fault current causes the fuse to melt instantly, producing an electric arc. This arc heats the arc-extinguishing tube, triggering an explosion of gas that creates high pressure, effectively blowing the arc along with the tube. Once the fuse link has melted, the moving contact loses its tightened grip, the mechanism locks, and the fuse tube safely drops out, leaving the cutout in an open position. When it is necessary to switch off during cutout loading, an operator can use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain connected, but as the pull continues, the auxiliary contacts separate, creating an electric arc between them. This arc is then elongated in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, where it is efficiently blown off by the explosion of arc-extinguishing gas exactly at the current's zero point.
