11kv-15kv Porcelain Expulsion Drop-out Fuse Cutout

The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are essential high-voltage protective devices designed for outdoor use. These indispensable tools connect seamlessly with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, serving as the first line of defense against short circuits and overloads. Comprising insulating insulator supports and a sophisticated fuse tube, static contacts are securely fixed on both sides of the insulator support, while moving contacts are expertly installed at each end of the fuse tube. Central to its operation, the fuse tube features an inside arc-extinguishing tube encapsulated by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. Offering advanced protection, the load switching fuse cutout is equipped with reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring the reliable on-off switching of loading currents.
During regular operations, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube is securely fastened in a closed position. Should a fault arise, the fault current instantly melts the fuse, generating an electrical arc. This initiates the heating and gas explosion within the arc-extinguishing tube, which produces high pressure along the arc's path. The melting of the fuse link releases the moving contact, leading to the fuse tube dropping out and the cutout opening. For switching off under load conditions, operators should use an insulating operating bar to detach the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain united. As pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, inducing an electric arc. The arc is progressively extended within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, where explosive gas combats the arc, ensuring safe interruption at zero current.
