36kV Expulsion Load Break Fuse Cutout

The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout stand as formidable outdoor high voltage protective devices. Seamlessly integrated with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, their prime duty is safeguarding against short circuits, overloads, and facilitating on/off current loading. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout is engineered with insulative insulator supports and an innovative fuse tube. Static contacts are securely affixed on both sides of the insulator support, while the dynamic moving contact is adeptly installed at both ends of the fuse tube. This fuse tube, a marvel of engineering, comprises an inner arc-extinguishing tube with an outer layer crafted from either phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. The Load Switching Fuse Cutout further elevates functionality with reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring seamless on-off loading current transitions.
During normal operations, the fuse link, when taut, locks the fuse tube in a secure closed position. Should faults arise in the system, the resultant fault current swiftly melts the fuse, instantly extinguishing the electric arc. This action heats the arc-extinguishing tube, causing an explosive outburst of gas, generating high pressure below the arc within the tube. As the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For manual operations during load switching, an operator employs an insulating bar to gently pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged. As the operator pulls further, the auxiliary contact separates, generating an electric arc between them. This arc is ingeniously extended within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, while concurrent gas explosions rapidly extinguish the arc as the current reaches zero.
