36kV Expulsion Load Break Fuse Cutout

The drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are sophisticated outdoor high-voltage protective devices designed to seamlessly integrate with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines. Their primary role is to safeguard transformers or lines from the perils of short circuits and overloads while managing on/off loading currents with precision. The drop-out fuse cutout features robust insulating supports and a durable fuse tube. Static contacts are securely anchored on both sides of the insulator support, while the moving contact is expertly installed on the ends of the fuse tube. This tube comprises an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an outer shell crafted from phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. Additionally, the load switching fuse cutout boasts reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and a sophisticated arc-extinguishing enclosure, enabling efficient management of on-off loading currents.
In normal operating conditions, the fuse link's tight grip ensures the fuse tube maintains a closed position. However, should a system fault occur, the resulting fault current instantly melts the fuse, initiating an electric arc. This, in turn, heats the arc-extinguishing tube, causing it to release an abundance of gas under high pressure, propelling the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tightened strength, causing the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. During cutout loading, if switching off is required, an operator can use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain in touch. As the pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, creating an electric arc. This arc is strategically elongated within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, and the enclosure releases gas to extinguish the arc as the current approaches zero.
