36kV Expulsion Load Break Fuse Cutout

The drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout stand as premier outdoor high voltage protective devices. These are meticulously designed to integrate seamlessly with the incoming feeders of distribution transformers or lines, offering unparalleled protection against short circuits and overloads. Their robust design ensures efficient on/off operations under current loadings. Composed of resilient insulator supports and a precision-engineered fuse tube, the drop-out fuse cutout features static contacts affixed to both sides of the insulator support, while the moving contact is adeptly positioned at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself is an engineering marvel, comprising an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an outer layer crafted from phenolic composite paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an advanced arc-extinguishing enclosure, expertly managing the switching of on-off loading currents with precision and reliability.
Under normal operating conditions, the fuse link, when tightened, securely positions the fuse tube, creating a robust closed circuit. In the event of a system fault, the ensuing fault current swiftly melts the fuse and initiates an electrical arc. This prompts the arc-extinguishing tube to heat up, releasing an abundance of gas, which generates high pressure beneath the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact no longer remains tight, causing the locking mechanism to release and the fuse tube to drop, transitioning the cutout to an open state. Should there be a need to switch off the load during cutout operation, an operator can utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged. However, as the auxiliary contact separates, an electric arc forms and lengthens across the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing medium releases gas, extinguishing the arc as the current passes through zero.
