Discover the Drop-out and Load Switching Fuse Cutout, an essential high-voltage protective device designed for outdoor use. Perfectly engineered to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, this innovative device offers robust protection against short circuits, overloads, and manages the on/off loading current with precision. Featuring an insulate insulator support and a fuse tube, the drop-out fuse cutout is meticulously crafted. It incorporates static contacts on both sides of the insulator support and a moving contact at the ends of the fuse tube. The tube itself boasts an advanced arc-extinguishing interior, enveloped by either a phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout stands out with its reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring effective on-off loading current control.
Experience seamless operation with our fuse link mechanism. In normal conditions, the fuse link secures the fuse tube in a closed position. However, should a fault arise, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, initiating a chain reaction. As the fuse melts, it generates an electrical arc, heating the arc-extinguishing tube and releasing a burst of gas, creating high pressure that propels the arc through the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the mechanism to release and allowing the fuse tube to drop, opening the cutout. To manually switch off during loading, operators use an insulating operating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially maintaining contact with the auxiliary static contact, separation leads to an electrical arc, elongated within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. This process releases gases to extinguish the arc as it passes through zero current, ensuring safety and reliability.
