15kV Fuse Load Break Switch Cutout 100a Dropout

Our Drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout stand as premier outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Connected seamlessly with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they offer unparalleled protection against short circuits and overload, while managing on/off loading currents efficiently. The robust design features insulate insulator supports and a meticulously crafted fuse tube. Static contacts are anchored firmly on both sides of the insulator support, while the moving contact is adeptly installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The intricate fuse tube design includes an inside arc-extinguishing tube, complemented by an outer shell composed of either a phenolic compound paper tube or an epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure that excels in switching on and off loading current.
During normal operations, the fuse link securely tightens the fuse tube in a closed position. However, when system faults arise, the fault current immediately melts the fuse, creating an electric arc. This triggers the arc-extinguishing tube to heat up, releasing a significant burst of gas that generates high pressure and a powerful blast along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, causing the mechanism to release and the fuse tube to drop out, shifting the cutout to an open position. For intentional cutout switching, operators can use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain connected. As pulling continues, the auxiliary contact disengages, creating an electric arc. This arc is elongated in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, while the arc-extinguishing gas effectively extinguishes the arc as the current approaches zero.
